More than Lm117,000, and more than 11,500 transactions, were transacted through e-shore’s Internet payment gateway in the first five months of 2003, Maltacom Chairman Joseph F.X. Zahra commented when addressing a seminar organised by e-shore at the Corinthia Palace Hotel.
It was the national telecoms carrier’s new chairman’s first public statement since his appointment to the helm of Maltacom.
The seminar was entitled ‘Protecting your Internet Assets’ and focused on how businesses need to start giving importance to protecting their Internet presence. The sessions were held by e-shore experts and highlighted network security, reliability and resilience issues. The audience was also introduced to the concept of co-location and a presentation on the new e-shore co-location facility was held.
Zahra mentioned that e-shore focuses on offering corporate solutions based on professional, reliable and secure systems and services. He added that the best certificate of e-shore’s strength in this area was Government’s choice of
e-shore’s Internet payment gateway as the preferred solution for all e-government online transactions. e-shore is the corporate Internet brand of Terranet Ltd, a subsidiary of Maltacom.
