Portomaso, one of Europe’s finest harbour developments, has been confirmed as the new title sponsor of the opening two rounds of the 2005 UIM Powerboat P1 World Championship, taking place in Malta on 7and 8 May.
The Portomaso Grand Prix of Malta will be comprised of two races, an endurance event on Saturday which circumnavigates the coastline, and a shorter race on Sunday utilising a tighter circuit that keeps close to the shoreline. Both races will be visible to spectators across the Island as the adrenaline-charged pilots compete in fast, competitive action for the first points of the 2005 Powerboat P1 season.
