Manwel Micallef, who currently occupies the post of deputy secretary general of the GWU is considering contesting Tony Zarb when the union’s top posts come up for contestation in October

The Union Haddiema Maghqudin will today express its opposition to the government’s park and ride plans in Valletta and Floriana, claiming the parking fees will “further erode workers’ pay packet” and slamming the government for lack of consultation.

Air Malta subsidiary valued at Lm25,000

Citing “commercially sensitive” information, the Ministry for Investments and Information Technology has refused to divulge the price paid by Alpine Holdings Ltd to purchase former Air Malta subsidiary Sterling Travel and Tourism.
