Malta Employers' Association gets new president

Following the annual general meeting of the Malta Employers' Association held recently, Pierre Fava was appointed to the post of president, replacing Arthur Muscat who is now vice president.
Having served on the MEA council for the past sixteen years, Fava was the deputy president and honorary treasurer of the association prior to being elected to this post.
Fava studied pharmacy at the University of Malta and graduated with Honours in 1988. That same year he joined the Chemimart Group and worked as a Managing Pharmacist in one of its branches. A few years later he joined the Head Office team where he headed the pharmaceutical division of the group and also handled the HR department. In 1997 he was appointed responsible person for regulatory affairs. In 1999 he was appointed director marketing and HR, a post he still holds to date.
The other members of the MEA Presidency team are: Arthur Muscat (Vice President),
Lawrence Mizzi (Deputy President) and Dr. Paul De Battista (Deputy President). The treasurer is Victor Pisani and the secretary is Agnes Agius.
