BOV assists Komunita Santa Marija

Bank of Valletta has donated IT equipment to Komunita Santa Marija, Sedqa’s Residential Drug Rehabilitation home. Victor Denaro, Chief Officer IT and Multi Channel Banking at Bank of Valletta presented the equipment to Sedqa’s CEO, Joe Gerada, in the presence of Sedqa’s Operations Director, Jean Claude Cardona.
The Residential Drug Rehabilitation - Komunita Santa Marija (KSM) - is an intensive, long-term residential programme offering a highly-structured communal living environment, whereby persons desiring to stop abusing drugs can discover their true selves, modify their behaviour, learn how to adopt a drug-free lifestyle and re-integrate in society. Individual psychotherapy and family therapy is an integral part of the programme. Currently, about twenty individuals are undergoing residential treatment at Komunita’ Santa Marija. Clients are helped to integrate back into society both on a psychological and on a social level. Various training initiatives form part of this treatment programme, one of which is ICT training.
