BOV provides advice for special registration scheme

Bank of Valletta is one of the appointed registration agents for the Special Registration Scheme 2007 that has been launched by the Ministry of Finance with effect from the 23rd April 2007. In this regard, Bank of Valletta is offering a comprehensive service, supporting all those who would like to regularise their position under the Special Registration Scheme 2007.
The Special Registration Scheme 2007 provides individuals residing in Malta with an opportunity to regularise their position in respect of their holdings, where the associated income has not been declared for the purposes of the Income Tax Act and other relevant laws. Assets (denominated in Maltese lira and euro) eligible to be registered under the Scheme include currency notes, local bank deposits, and securities which have a primary listing on the Malta Stock Exchange.
“At Bank of Valletta, we are well positioned to offer professional advice from all our branches in connection with this Scheme,” said Joseph M Camilleri, Executive Head responsible for Wealth Management at Bank of Valletta. “Moreover, our advisors provide customers with comprehensive financial planning services, including a range of deposit accounts, collective investment schemes, life assurance, dealing in stocks and shares as well as trustee services.” he added.
Customers may obtain further information about the Registration Scheme and other financial services either from their preferred BOV branch or BOV’s Customer Service Centre on telephone number 2131 2020. The Registration Scheme closes on 31st July 2007.
