Collective agreement between UHM and the Victoria Hotel

The Food and Beverage Section of the Union Haddiema Maghqudin – UHM, is pleased to announce that after the successful talks with the Management of The Victoria Hotel regarding the Collective Agreement for the Hotel’s workers, a new agreement covering the years 2006 to 2009 was signed,
During the discussions both parties showed a lot of commitment in order that the final result will be beneficial for the hotel and its workers.
For the duration of this agreement backdated from 2006 a new and modern system of how pay rises should be addressed and implemented was introduced.
This new system is called “Profit Sharing” meaning that the workers will receive an increase according to the hotel’s profitability, meaning the higher the profit for the hotel the higher the rise the workers get.
For the Union Haddiema Maghqudin the agreement was signed by Mr. Lino Vassallo – Secretary for the Food and Beverage Section and Mr. Raymond Cini – Shop Steward whilst Ms. Claire Xuereb – General Manage and Mr. Gaetano Cristina – Human Resources Manager signed on behalf of The Victoria Hotel.
