Making your way through the EU Funding maze

Forum Malta fl-Ewropa and the Parliamentary Secretary for Small Business and the Self-Employed are organising an intensive and interactive one-day training session entitled ‘Making Your Way Through the EU Funding Maze: Proposals, Evaluation and Project Management’ on 16th January 2008 at the Victoria Hotel, Sliema.
The seminar will focus on the practicalities of EU funding and topics covered will include how to build a strong project proposal, insight into the evaluation of EU-funded projects, a guide to project management of EU-funded projects as well as public procurement and project closure issues. There will also be a Project Gallery of case studies from Malta.
The training will be delivered by Maria Rauch, an independent international consultant with extensive experience in EU funding, with particular focus on the fields of Local Development, Employment and Vocational Training. She has advised several organisations including the European Commission (DG Employment and Social Affairs, DG Education and Culture and DG Information Society) and the Portuguese Labour Ministry. She has delivered training on EU funding in several countries and prior to consultancy, she spent eight years in the Portuguese Labour Ministry where she was projects coordinator in DGEFP (General Directorate on Employment and Vocational Training).
She was also President of the Vocational Training Centre for Electronics (CINEL) and spent five years as training director in a private Portuguese company.
