MBB presents considerations on MEUSAC re-launch

A Malta Business Bureau (MBB) delegation led by MBB President Stefano Mallia and which included the Malta Hotels and Restaurants Association’s President (MHRA), Josef Formosa-Gauci, the Malta Chamber of Commerce and Enterprise’s Hon. Treasurer, Mario Spiteri, the Federation of Industry‘s Vice-President, Anton Borg, MHRA’s CEO, George Schembri and MBB’s CEO, Lino Mintoff called on the Parliamentary Secretary for Public Dialogue and Information, the Hon. Dr Chris Said.
During the meeting the MBB delegation presented its considerations on the proposed re-activation of MEUSAC. MBB reiterated its support and involvement in the forthcoming re-launch of MEUSAC and was pleased to note that there were many points of convergence on the general remit of MEUSAC.
Mr Mallia emphasised the importance of time management in order to ensure an effective consultation process and the co-ordinating role of MBB to facilitate the efficient flow of information and feedback from stakeholders in the on-going business of the committee.
He also expanded on the complementary aspects which may exist between the agenda of MCESD and that of MEUSAC and thus items discussed could be separated into two categories – strategic and non-Strategic or macro and micro.
At the end of the meeting, both sides agreed to discuss in detail the MBB’s proposal for the benefit of the MBB’s parent organisations and MEUSAC.
