New Interest Rates by Volksbank Malta

Following the recent announcement by the European Central Bank to raise the interest rates by 9 July 2008, Volksbank Malta has also adjusted the interest rates payable to customers on current, retail and term deposit accounts.
The new rates are published on the bank’s web site. Commenting on these rates, the bank’s managing director Herbert Skok announced that the Volksbank is now paying 2 per cent interest on current accounts which provide the cheque book facility. ‘We are sure that our customers are finding this product extremely attractive as it provides high value for their needs” concluded Mr Skok.
