Volksbank Malta last Friday opened its first agency in Victoria, Gozo. The opening was attended by the Hon. Giovanna Debono, Minister of Gozo, and various representatives of the Gozitan business community.
With this new agency, Volksbank is the first Austrian bank setting up office on Malta’s sister island of Malta. “We want to offer our services also to the Gozitan community”, Managing Director Herbert Skok explained. “Gozo does not need another bank for cashing cheques or changing money, the island is very well covered by the big local banks. What we are offering the community is the chance to use Volksbank’s excellent offers for deposits and loan facilities without the time consuming trips to Malta.”
