New MRA board appointed

Lawyer Rueben Balzan has been appointed Chairman of the Malta Resources Authority.
His appointment was proposed by George Pullicino, the Minister for resources and rural affairs and approved by Cabinet.
Balzan is the Secretary general to the Chamber of Advocates, and has also served for a number of years on the Communications Authority board.
Meanwhile, Cabinet has also approved the following board members at MRA:
Engineer Francis Bugeja as Deputy chairman, and Kevin Spiteri, Fleur Vella, Antonella Vassallo, Godwin Bencini and Dr. Pauline Galea as members.
Their mandate expires in September next year.
