Meep helps you get to your destination

If you’ve ever found yourself needing to get from one point to another but not knowing how, then Meep is the app for you.

There are multiple possible means of transport one can use to get around in Malta apart from a personal car, ranging from buses to motorcycle sharing.

The Meep app makes choosing which one to use easy, displaying to the user all the available transportation options to get from one destination to another.

Meep is a Mobility as a Service (MaaS) transport start-up which, in its own words, wants to change the way people move around cities.

It started out in several cities across Portugal and Spain, and is now also available in Malta, with a mission to create innovative routes which connect and combine all available transportation while incorporating a range of user preferences.

The process for using Meep is simple: download the app for iOS or Android, sign up, and start finding the best ways to get to where you need to go.

A user can enter the two points they want to travel between (or use their current destination as the starting point), and is instantly given a list of the available means for travelling.

These include all the buses and bus stops in the vicinity together with the time they are, the facility to book a taxi, and the location of the nearest bicycle, motorbike or car sharing services.

Prices and travel times for each of these means of transportation are also included.

Meep also allows users to select their preferred methods of transport, to provide payment methods, such as bank cards, and to personalise settings related to cheaper, faster, more eco-friendly or healthier travel options.

With these features, getting from A to B might prove to be less of a headache with Meep.
