VAT Dept issues €8.2 million in fines... But only €333,000 have been collected

The VAT Department this issued fines for a total of €8.2 million during this year, of which only €333,282 have been paid so far. This was announced in Parliament by Finance Minister Tonio Fenech in reply to a question put to him by MP Noel Farrugia.
