Bilateral agreement between Malta employers and CCIF signed
The Malta Employers Association has formalised a bilateral agreement with the Cross Cultural International Foundation

Last week, the Malta Employers Association (MEA) formalised a bilateral agreement with the Cross Cultural International Foundation (CCIF), marking a significant step in promoting inclusivity and access to funding for diverse employers.
The partnership centres on the EU-funded Unlock Project, jointly initiated by MEA and CCIF, aimed at empowering employers to navigate and utilize available EU funding opportunities.
CCIF, a leading Maltese NGO dedicated to combating human trafficking, represents a community that includes third-country nationals who are self-employed, business owners, and employers. These individuals frequently face the same barriers as other entrepreneurs when seeking funding support.
Under the new agreement, MEA and CCIF have committed to closer collaboration on policy development and joint projects. A key feature of the partnership is that CCIF’s community will now have direct access to the EU Helpdesk at MEA, ensuring equal participation in MEA events and personalized guidance in funding navigation.
“This milestone under the Unlock Project is about more than immediate benefits,” a spokesperson for MEA said. “It reflects our broader Corporate Social Responsibility agenda, promoting inclusive workplaces, fostering responsible governance, and creating opportunities for growth across communities.”
The partnership underscores MEA’s commitment to:
-
Inclusive workplaces: Supporting vulnerable groups and enabling employers from diverse backgrounds to thrive.
-
Responsible governance: Establishing collaborations that uphold fairness, transparency, and sustainability in the labour market.
-
Community building: Strengthening ties between employers, institutions, and communities to cultivate a culture of shared opportunity and growth.
The MEA-CCIF agreement demonstrates the Association’s ongoing dedication to ethical business practices, responsible leadership, and equal access to opportunities, reinforcing its role as both a champion for its members and a contributor to wider societal development.
